Some tips for my clan mates: I (as a Barb) had finished all my lv7 attempts with score 186xx, stopped at wave 11. Here's my two cents:
- Initiative is more important than anything else. You'll face many high init units in this battle and if they attack twice in a row, you die.
- If only a few enemy left in the battleground, wait and kill them by retaliation. This way, you go first in the next round.
- The key battle is at wave 7 and wave 8. You have to finish wave 7 in this situation: all you forces are at top-right (or bottom-right) corner. So you can use single units and your hero (this is why you should stay right) to block 22 lizards in wave 8.
- After that, if you remain most of your forces, you should have no problem to survive until wave 11. How to beat wave 11 is still unknown to me. I guess your main force need to morale up twice at least.
