If you are not a thief yet, this is for you.

Read the following FAQ, which will answer most of your question. (Thanks to zouris's Little ambusher FAQ thread)

If not, ask your questions. :)

How can I become a thief?

You have to be level 6 to start Thief ambushes. You must own a "Thief guild invitation", that can be bought with 80 diamonds (1 diamond = €1 EUR ≈ $1.44 USD ) or from other players but they are expensive (about 350,000 gold on market)

Another way is renting from some players who owns one (see the forum in leasing section), or our clan TGI holders:

Also, there is a company who rent TGI:

I've used the Thief guild invitation, but it desapeared!
It's the way it should be. You will get another thief guild invitation when you will reach thief guild level 2. This thief invitation granted as reward when you reach TG level 2 must be returned to the leaser (in case you leased the thief invitation)

The difficulty of enemy does change based on your winning or losing:

-3% per loss
+5% per win
